  1. This option produces a list of those students who have logged out and
  2. subsequently logged back in again. The time they logged out is in the file
  3. "OUT" and the time they logged back in is in the file "IN". Both these files
  4. live in the !REG directory.

  6. When a student logs out, an A is placed in the file and when she logs back
  7. in an R. These characters are ignored by the statistics calculations so it
  8. is up to the system manager to decide whether or not a credit should be
  9. given for attendance, absence or late. This rather depends on the
  10. circumstances and how long the student is away and even an Archy can't
  11. manage this type of decision! It is therefore necessary to edit the As and
  12. Rs to an appropriate setting using the list menu and Individual option. The
  13. bit of gobbledegook at the beginning is the number of characters in the file
  14. so that even if you switch the machine off the program can remember where to
  15. put the next person. You can create a fresh file by using the Create option
  16. and the appropriate sub-menu option. Incidentally, the file "IN" can be
  17. dragged into edit or any other RISCOS application for further manipulation.
